"And what country can preserve its liberties, if it's rulers are not warned from time to time, that this people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to the facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time, with the blood of patriots and tyrants. It is its natural manure."
"Congress has not unlimited powers to provide for the general welfare but only those specifically enumerated."
“A wise and frugal government, which shall restrain men from injuring one another, which shall leave them otherwise free to regulate their own pursuits of industry and improvement, and shall not take from the mouth of labor and bread it has earned. This is the sum of good government.”

Weekend Adventures
Last week was spring break and I had three whole days off in a row. With all this free time I decided to go down to the farm. I haven't been down there in months and there were a couple of new baby goats that were born the weekend before which of course I wanted to play with.
While I was there 5 babies were born!
We had one momma goat just lay down in the yard and give birth out in the open right in the middle of everything (which is very unusual for goats). She and her two babies just stayed right there all day, even when the herd moved on she never moved. But when it got dark they were still out there even though the other goats had gone back to the barn. We couldn't just leave the babies out there in the open all night, it would not be safe for them so we decided to pick them up and put them in the closest barn for the night.
But when we picked them up and moved them, momma goat went crazy! She started running around screaming at the top of her lungs. She was so scared, she thought we were taking her babies from her and hurting them I suppose. She was so scared and I felt so bad for her. It took us atleast 10 minutes to herd her into the barn that her babies were in, but when she finally realized they were safe in the barn she calmed down.

Baby Goats A Few Hours Old |
Last weekend was alot of fun. I'm glad I was able to spend that time with my family. :)
Worse then the Avian Flu
Everywhere I go I have to listen to Angry Birds this and Angry Birds that. I have played the game and it is pretty fun but not so fun that my entire life should revolve around it. The radio is not safe, the internet is not safe, and now work is not safe.
A couple of people at work have become so addicted to this game that they are playing it at work, even when we are behind on our workload. Seriously?
When I saw this video I knew that I just had to share, because I love Star Trek and frustrated with everyone addicted to Angry Birds so I found it completely hilarious. : )

Over the River and Through the Woods........
On our way back from my Grandmother's 70th birthday party in Alabama, we stopped in Pensacola, Florida to play on the beach. Even though it was 60 degrees outside and the water was even colder we still had a lot of fun.
Here are some pictures of the good times that I took with my new Windows 7 Phone. (I'm loving it so far!)

We were feeding them cheesy bugles. They really liked them! : )
When we ran out of bugles they went after our shoes!
This was at a gas station on the way home and I just thought it was funny.
All in all it was a pretty fun trip. My family is spread all over the south so it isn't very often that we can all get together.

New Years Eve
All I’m going to say for now is:
- Alcohol was definitely involved
- There was some gambling
- Yeah someone passed out and got markered
- Yeah someone threw up --- Causing other drunks to need to puke. LOL
- Kinect Sports + Alcohol = LOTS of FUN!!!!
Perhaps I shall post stories later, but for now I don’t know where to start.

The Resident Evil User Interface Strikes Again
School is out so my sister and I have a lot more free time. What do we want to do the weekend after finals? Apparently the answer is play video games.
When she came over we looked through my collection and pulled out one that hadn’t been touched in a while. I remembered Resident Evil 5 fondly so we popped it in the Xbox to discover the fun that laid in wait.
Our discovery however was more frustrating then fun because the control interface made it very difficult to convince the players to do what we needed them to do for our survival. After about 30 frustrating minutes during which we saw ourselves being hacked to pieces multiple times, we decided to lower the difficulty setting to normal thinking that we just need to remember how to use the controls.
“Ok,” we tell ourselves “now its time to kill us some bad guys.” Nope. The big ax guy from chapter one strikes again. Now the frustration is building and we just can’t seem to convince our characters to do what we want them to. We get hacked into tiny pieces again and the game mocks us by flashing “you are dead” written in blood on the screen as if watching someone hack us into tiny pieces wasn’t a good clue.
I’m sitting here thinking to my self that I know I made it through this whole game like a year ago. What is the deal?
Well after about two hours of failure we’d had enough and my sister through in the controller wanting to play a different game which I happily obliged knowing that I was saving my controller from certain death as one of us was sure to chunk one across the room if we had to watch our demise one more time.
We then went on a search for a new adventure that didn’t have a backwards user interface and all was well with the world once again.

Fighting Hunger
It's the Christmas season and I'm sure that you've seen places collecting toys and canned goods for families in need. Even the place that I was getting my oil changed at was collecting toys. I'm sure that its not news to anyone that times have been hard lately, it's been all over the news.
My Aunt is a teacher in a school were poverty is so pervasive that EVERY student gets free breakfast and lunch. The school pays for every student to have a toothbrush and the teachers make sure that the students brush their teeth after both meals that they eat at school.
Walmart is donating money to the communities that get the most support to use for food for families that cannot afford it. Visit their site http://fightinghunger.walmart.com/ to vote for your community or one that you know is in need.
While I'm sure that this is a great tax write off for Walmart, hopefully it will help some kids that may only get to eat the food that they get from school.
